Lori
joined Steamboat Orthopaedic Associates, P.C. in August, 2006.
She fulfilled her undergraduate degree in Chemistry with the
United States Military Academy at West Point. She completed
her medical degree at Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover,
New Hampshire in 1991. She served a general surgery internship
at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado. She
later completed her residency program in orthopaedic surgery
at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington.
Dr. Harrington
became a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons
in 2004. She was awarded a Meritorious Service Medal, two
Army Commendation Medals and an Army Achievement Medal during
her service from 1991 to 2004. She was a Barnard Research
Competition winner in March 1995 and a Hugh Mahon Lectureship
winner in May 1995 for "Development of an Infection Resistant,
Tibially Implanted Percutaneous Limb Prosthetic Device", Harrington,
Lisecki, Cocoran, and Sherman. Lori’s additional research
work include "Accurancy of Military Electronic Databases for
Research", Harrington, Pace, and Place; and "Distal
Tibial Growth Arrest in Idiopathic Talipes Equinovarus", Harrington
and Lester.
Lori
is married to Dr. Brian Harrington, and has four children
- Taylor, Charlie, Avery and Kendall.
